New children's book to teach animal compassion

There is a new children’s book set to be released this month that every animal lover needs to buy and every parent needs to promote.

The Animal Fairy is the first children’s book in a series designed to teach children compassion at an early age. It seemed only natural for Animal Fairy Charities to begin publishing this appropriate and much needed series of books as one of its most valuable missions is to educate and engage children.

Most of the problems and issues today in regards to animal welfare come from individuals who lack compassion and are almost flat lined when it comes to a basic respect for life. Most groups that support animal welfare can tell you they spend a lot of time dealing with the outcome and aftermath of human individuals who were simply not given these tools at any point in their life. As animal neglect and abuse can be the result of this deep problem, it’s only logical to approach this subject in a positive manner and at the root. Working with and teaching children kindness can lay the ground work for successful, compassionate and valuable humans, thus greatly reducing the negative impact to our animals we see today.

To introduce the animal fairy and bring this story of the animal helper’s message to life, took two special women. Being enchanted with this concept, Shelly Abrams embraced the idea and is the author of this exciting book. “Helping children learn about animals in need is a dream come true. It’s a story that must be told.” The animal fairy character was brought to life by Susie Weber, the artist for the book. Her illustrations not only help to portray the story, they serve as foundation for parents to teach compassion. “I liked the idea of creating and bringing to life this creature that is both lovable and empowered to help animals.” said Weber.

Animal Fairy Charities is excited for the launch of this book and feel children will be introduced to a fascinating new character while learning lifelong lessons. The proceeds from this book will go to help feed, shelter and provide medical care for animals and can be purchased for only $5.98.
